Job Description

Prestigious Proprietary Trading Firm, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeking a Lead C++ Developer to lead, design and develop computer software for the trading teams. Responsibilities include designing and implementing new product features, producing design documents and materials, developing test scenarios, analysing designs and coding for errors and efficiency. The ideal candidate is able to perform independently as well as lead of a team. This position will require excellent communication skills as developers interact with both their immediate team and traders alike.

Qualifications
6+ years experience in C++ software development
The ability to transition between programming languages on a need-basis and demonstrate excellence throughout
Excellent communication skills and a work ethic that thrives both independently and within a team
Experience in the development of multi-threaded and near Real Time applications
Familiarity with the financial services industry
Developing socket based applications in a Unix environment.. communication protocols
Electronic Trading Interfaces
FIX based Interfaces
Financial trading Middleware
Data feed Interfaces (Reuters, Comstock, Bloomberg, etc.)
Comfortable using Unix or Unix-like operating systems (eg Linux, AIX, Solaris)
